Session Length

Children make friends and become campers very quickly. But seeing growth, especially in their activity skills, takes a little more time. There are just no short cuts to learning a posting trot, or a round-off back handspring. And these sorts of milestones become important markers of growth for camp-aged children.

Because of this we offer two week and four week sessions.

But two weeks is so long! Yes it is, and it isn’t. We have found that our girls consistently do best with a session that is at least two weeks. For those looking for a shorter option to try out camp, we recommend coming to Mother Daughter Weekends. They are a great introduction for camp and way to prepare for the full summer experience.

Enrolling a Camper

The best way to get the ball rolling is to apply online. Once you have completed your application, we will contact you by phone or email.

What happens then?

You will receive an email confirmation letting you know we received your application. If we are able to enroll your child you will receive another email saying we have charged their deposit, followed up by an acceptance letter from camp. Tuition can be paid by check, eCheck or credit card. Please note that there is a 3.3% service charge when using a credit or debit card.

After that you will not hear much from camp until we send you your camper packet in the spring. This will be a big document and will have all the information you need to get ready for camp.

How are applications prioritized and processed?

We fill early each year and give priority to groups in a particular order:

  • Returning (currently enrolled) campers have seven days from the end of their 2025 sessions to enroll in the same guaranteed session for next year.
  • Within those seven days we next give priority to:
    • Current campers extending or changing sessions
    • Siblings of current campers
    • Mother/Daughter Weekend attendees
    • Previous season waitlist campers
    • Starting eight days after the close of each session all enrollments are first come first served.

Finally, it takes a while to process our early enrollment applications. You may not hear from us until the Fall as our first priority is always the campers we have with us, so your patience is appreciated.

How do refunds work?

Deposits for camp are refundable, less $300, until December 15. There are no refunds after that date, for deposits or paid balances, so you will need to zero in on your plans before then. If you shorten a session (moving from 4 weeks to 2 weeks, etc.) you will be charged a lost deposit fee ($1,000). Deposits, tuitions and enrollments may not be transferred to other campers.

Balances are due March 1, and there are no refunds for shortened sessions or full withdraws after that. We hate retaining tuitions so please call if you have questions.
