Merri-Mac friends and family, happy August! Today we experienced a bit of a rainy day here at camp but that sure doesn’t limit our fun and smiles! This morning girls sprung up, did their chores and hurried down to breakfast where waffle sticks, sausage, bagels and fruit were all on the menu! At Chapel girls sang fun familiar songs and praised the Lord with friends then listened to a short message from counselor Mattie C.

Onto activities of course! On this wednesday we had another jam packed, fun filled day of classes!  Session 3B is fun on all fronts, especially in our activities! This morning volleyball consisted of playing fun familiar games like “jail” and “queen of the court” and new games too! In DIY girls continued painting their North Carolina projects and they were all so beautiful! In pottery some girls worked on their pinch pots, made frames and even practiced throwing on the wheel! While in guitar girls continued learning new strings and strum patterns and brushed up on their skills.

After a morning of activities everyone was ready for lunch, especially for what was on the menu today. Drumroll…..PIZZA! A camp favorite!! All the girls raced into the dining hall, prayer was said and we all enjoyed the delicious meal. We got to do the birthday rap twice this morning because there are TWO birthdays here at camp today! Wishing the happiest of birthdays to River and Lacy F. today!! After lunch Anna M. announced the winner of Mission impossible…… Seminoles (best tribe!) and Iroquois with the spirit points! Tonight’s activity is Battleball, a camp favorite among our tribes! On to free time! Todays free time was jam packed with fun options! The Merri-Mac clothing room was open open today! Girls from senior hill went with their friends to check out all of the awesome Merri-Mac gear. While most girls just stayed in-doors spending quality time with cabin members.

More fun with afternoon activities! Cooking today is baking personal pizzas! Girls split into 3 groups and made pizzas from scratch with fun toppings to make a deluxe pizza! Wow, those looked really yummy and double dose of pizza! In yoga at the chapel the girls practiced new and familiar poses with friends. In mountain biking today with Grace E. and Becca M. the girls went on a trail ride through camp and man did that look like fun! These are some favorite classes here at camp with lots of adventure, fun and friendship in the mix! We all look forward to a great dinner, some good fun competition in battle ball, and and an all around great night at camp! We are all so thankful for every amazing day we have at camp with our beautiful campers. Can’t wait for another great day tomorrow!
