Mary Page opens every meal with, “It’s a merry day, Merri-Mac!” and that it truly was! Campers woke up ready to conquer their days and enjoy another wonderful, busy, and fruitful day at camp. At Chapel, Chacey, a counselor in Stardust, answered the question of: What is sin? She used a story from her childhood and Psalm 36: 10-12 to explain to campers that sin is a part of everyone’s lives, but that Jesus Christ takes on the blame for all of our sins. A wonderful message to start our days with! Then campers dove into their exciting activities! In kayaking, Caroline B. practiced rescues using a throw rope, in cooking Callen W. and friends made yummy mac and cheese and pigs in a blanket, in pottery Annabelle B. learned how to throw on the wheel, and in dance all the girls worked on routines to perform at Fine Arts Night tomorrow! It was a fun-filled, busy, perfect summer day. At lunch, we celebrated Pfifer B. and Aubrey K. both turning 13, with the whole camp standing on their benches and singing the birthday rap for them! The Black Bear tribe also celebrated their Amazing Race win from the night before. Also, several trips went out for the day including:

The day was closed out by Third Session’s first White Feather ceremony, celebrated inside (a rare occurrence!) because of the rain, which recognizes campers for various achievements they have accomplished throughout their first week at camp. Because of the rain, girls played a competitive and thrilling game of tribal trivia. Finally, girls did Devotional with their cabins and fell asleep to the sound of rain after a bustling day. 

Another wonderful, fun-filled day of camp in the books! It is hard to believe that we are already 1 week through session 3A. Thanks for reading!
