It’s a Merri-day, Merri-Mac!

This Tuesday we started off strong by cleaning up our cabins and then heading down the hill for breakfast which was waffle breakfast sandwiches this morning. After breakfast we headed to the chapel where we sang a few songs and heard Mary Page Troxler speak about how God sent his son, Jesus, so that we could all be a part of his family.

As we wrapped up our final classes of the Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday schedule, campers were met with some exciting happenings in their activities. In archery, campers practiced their skills by aiming at balloons; pottery worked on glazing their pieces, backpacking made smores, and cooking made brownie waffles topped with ice cream. Overall, a very exciting day in our activities!

The day continued with lots of excitement. Campers learned that the Red Wolves won Songfest (a very important deciding factor to winning the banner), Georgia N. earned her gold bar in kayaking, and it was announced that tonight’s evening activity is The Amazing Race! Tonight, the Red Wolves, Black Bears, and Golden Eagles will compete against each other by participating in an extra-large relay race around camp. The stations include packing a backpacking pack, reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, Archery, and so much more. As we get closer and closer to the announcement of the banner winner, tribal games are becoming extra exciting!

After the game is over, a handful of cabins will be having some extra fun. Cloud 9 is making milkshakes in the cooking kitchen, The Robin is free swimming in Lake Doris, and Tweedle Dot is putting the puppies to bed. We are so happy that y’all are sharing your daughters with us and can’t wait to share all that they have done these past few weeks.
