Taking in Every Moment: A Perfect Summer Wednesday
Taking in Every Moment: A Perfect Summer Wednesday
We kicked off the day bright and early at 7am, ready to make the most of our second-to-last full day of camp. Breakfast in the dining hall was “Circle Breakfast,” which included biscuits, eggs, sausage, cheese, and hashbrowns; it is a fan favorite! After breakfast, we headed to Chapel, and then it was time for activities!

In cooking, campers got to make homemade pizzas—choosing their own toppings and making each slice their own. Over at the lake, canoeing practiced how to swamp and unswamp a canoe, plus learned shallow water reentry skills and exchanged paddle positions. Archery kept it interesting with a balloon bullseye accuracy challenge, and in guitar, the group took their music on the move, parading around camp serenading other classes with the songs they’ve learned. It was so fun to hear their music echoing through camp!
Lunch was a camp favorite—Greek Day! Afterward, we headed back to our cabins to get a small start on packing and have some downtime before heading to Closing Day practice where we learned songs and got ready for Friday. Free time was full of Trade-Po snacks, Tweedle-led nail polish salons, hanging out on the back green, and Free Swim for Cross Patch and Up Yonder!
Third and fourth periods brought even more fun before we all gathered for dinner which was delicious pork carnitas tacos. Tonight’s Evening Activity is Cabin Night– a great final evening activity to round out the session as campers solidify their sweet friendships and really get to bond with their cabinmates. Stardust is doing the Slip ‘n Slide, Moonmist and Blue Heaven are starting with a Trashin’ Show and ending with pickleball, and Comet is heading over to Adam and Ann’s house to swim! On another note, our eldest cabin, Sunnyside, has their cabin trip tonight where they dress up and have the privilege to go to a restaurant and get ice cream!
With just one full day left, we are truly trying to make the most of every moment! Campers are cherishing time with their cabins, counselors, and friends. We can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow for our final full day!
