Happy Wednesday!

This morning we woke up to a foggy day from yesterday’s rain! After cabin chores and getting ready, we headed down to breakfast to enjoy a geometric breakfast of biscuits, eggs, sausage patties, and hash browns. In chapel today, we answered the question “Why does it matter?”. Will Troxler read from Proverbs 3 and Psalm 103 to illustrate how we were made to praise the Lord.

This morning, campers in Backpacking learned how to filter water and make Gatorade with it! Girls in Watercolors were tasked with creating paintings of animals around camp, such as butterflies, fireflies, and even bears. In kayaking, we played STAR, where a girl describes a movie and whoever guesses it, rows to them fastest with the answer. At the archery range, girls aimed to pop balloons on targets to practice their aim.

For lunch we had the amazing chicken caesar wraps and potato wedges, YUM! We then headed to rest hour for our much needed relaxation time. In cooking, we had a bake off– campers made and decorated red velvet cupcakes for our panel of judges to taste! Canoeing swamped their canoes and made slides out of the bottom. In volleyball, we scrimmaged and practiced passing as a team.

After a long day of activities, we ran down to dinner to enjoy sausage and penne pasta, roasted broccoli, and bread sticks. We then RACED outside to play Counselor Hunt!! Tonight’s activity includes girls looking for their counselors who are hiding around property; if and when these counselors are found, they get pushed into Lake Doris by the campers who found them! A few of our cabins (Blue Heaven, Moonmist, and Little Dipper) joined their counselors in the lake for their conjoined post-evening activity of free swim. Other cabins also did milkshakes, s’mores, and spent quality time with one another! Overall today was filled with laughter and making unforgettable memories that will fulfill their hearts for years to come!
