Swimming through Summer
Swimming through Summer
Hello Camp Merri Mac!
We began our morning with our traditional friendship circle in order to say farewell to our session 3A campers. After a wonderful breakfast of waffles, the campers and staff gathered in a circle on the back green and sang songs to commemorate the end of an amazing two weeks. The friendship circle is a sweet time in which we all hold hands and share the last moment as a full camp as we sing songs and say goodbye.
While our session 3A campers were being picked up, our session 3F campers were able to sign up of four different, exciting activities today. In between activities, the girls enjoyed a delicious lunch of grilled chicken sandwiches. The girls at camp had so much fun in all sorts of activities such as volleyball, yoga, archery, DIY, and swimming. Two trips went out today: waterskiing and hiking. Maeve H., Lila Jane L., Everly H., Ivy C., and Kate A. all got to enjoy Lake James while waterskiing. The girls that got to hike to the beautiful views at Eagle Rock were Savannah S., Lane H., Kennedy O., Caroline M., Helen C., Spencer C., Ava L., Ellie G., and Anna H.
At the end of the day, we all gathered for a wonderful meal of macaroni and cheese and pulled pork sandwiches. For dessert, we had sea salt chocolate chip cookies! We concluded the fun day with a free swim for the entire camp, and the girls were treated to surprise popsicles! The girls at camp all laid down for sleep anxiously waiting for the new campers to come tomorrow for our final two weeks session.
