Princess Party!!!!
Princess Party!!!!
What a wonderful Wednesday it has been at Camp Merri-Mac! Today the girls woke up and got their cabin all cleaned up, and after they headed to breakfast where it was shaped like breakfast! Shaped breakfast consists of circle eggs, circle sausage, and hashbrowns. After our breakfast, we headed to chapel where we were delighted to have Cam P. (a Sunnysider, the oldest cabin) played for us today. We sang our favorite Banana Song and also Reckless Love!
We were also given the privilege to listen to Caroline Elmer (Big Dipper and Kayaking counselor). She helped us answer the question “What do we do now?” She explained that even though she was not the best at ice skiing, her youth pastor still continued to encourage her to keep at it. Just like how God encourages and continues to push us to seek out other people.
After chapel, we headed to our first 2 activities where we guitar decided to go around different activities, and play for them the song Riptide. What a lovely performance it was to watch! After our morning activities we headed to lunch where we were served chicken caesar wraps with mandarin oranges. For evening activity, the girls were ecstatic to have the Princess Party today!
What is a princess party? The party is hosted by one of the counselor-in-training who was voted her Sunnyside year by the whole camp. She creates the theme, script, and also reception. It is so beautiful and well made. Each cabin picks someone in their cabin to represent their cabin in the party.
After lunch we headed to our cabins for a rest hour, and later for some free time (and candy).
After our last couple activities the girls headed up to their cabins to get dressed up for the party. Once we all got dressed we headed to dinner and spent it talking about everyone’s day. Once dinner was over, we headed to the Mike where the Princess Party began. The theme was Tangled, and Spencer C. (3rd session princess) put on a truly wonderful party and definitely a memorable princess party. Great job Spencer, and everyone who was in it! This is one of the girls’ favorites, because they can wear their most beautiful dresses for this evening and everyone looked like stars in their dresses.
Girls headed to bed, and was ready for what the last day of camp had in store for them.
