Fine Arts Night!!
Fine Arts Night!!
It’s a merry day here at Merri-Mac!
On this lovely Tuesday here at camp, we were greeted to sunshine for the majority of the day, with a light afternoon shower!
For breakfast this morning, we had coffee cake with English muffin sandwiches. Yum! Next, in Chapel, we sang “Pharaoh Pharaoh,” with a beautiful background of the lake in the morning. For the Message, Will Troxler talked about trusting the Lord, talking through Romans 5.
In Cooking, campers learned how to make pesto and marinara pasta and garlic bread from scratch- a super great recipe to take home! In Drama today, campers worked on improv, playing a fun game that included camper’s ideas and prompts to be worked into scenes! This activity helped campers with their improv skills in addition to giving them a fun way to be creative.
For lunch, we had Greek day! This included gyros on pita bread and pita chips with fruit!
Today is one of our last days of bar testing, so campers were encouraged to test for their Bronze, Silver, and Gold bars during free time and even in their activity periods!
For our evening activity, it was announced that we are doing Fine Arts Night! This evening activity is especially exciting because it is a super fun opportunity for campers who are more creatively inclined to show off their skills! Campers are able to audition and perform their skits, dance performances, musical inclinations, and art pieces to show off to their peers!
