To start off the day, we rise and shine getting out of bed and doing cabin clean up before heading to breakfast to make sure it is elegant and neat for presentation of the cabins to receive points. For breakfast, the kitchen staff served us lemon poppy seed muffins, baked oatmeal, and cooked fuji apples before transitioning to activities. There are other options at the bars including grits, fruit, and yogurt. After breakfast, we got to sing the camp songs loudly and proudly before heading to the chapel.

When we started heading to chapel, we got to sing a couple of songs before Hallie Berg shared her story about her emotions about her toe injury. She experienced connecting the verses in Romans 8:27-29.

Classes began and in backpacking, the campers had to use teamwork by putting the tent up, while cooking classes had an opportunity to make their yummy waffles. In dance, the campers have been working hard on their solos and duet dances to earn their bars in bronze, silver, and/or gold. The solo dance has to be at least a minute and a duet dance has to be two minute dance to earn their bars. Some campers decided they wanted to perform in front of the class to share what they have practiced the last few days.

We headed for lunch after their first two activities to enjoy a delicious Greek cuisine meal including greek chicken, pita bread, some veggies and feta cheese. Maddie Lemon announced that the Golden Eagles were the winners of Mission Impossible. After lunch, the girls got a rest before heading to the Trading Post to receive snacks and some refreshing drinks including candy, chips, and gatorade. The Tweedles usually play at gaga ball or the volleyball court before heading to two more activities for the afternoon.

After a long productive day of their activities, the campers usually have to change so they can get their tribe pride on to participate in the evening activity after dinner. For dinner, we got to have baked ham with cooked carrots, honey cornbread, scalloped potatoes and confetti cake before the big exciting ceremony that was happening after dinner.

Due to the rain, we had to move the White Feather Ceremony inside the Tucker Inn. During the ceremony, Mary Page shared the names of the girls who we celebrated because of their achievements in their classes and excellent behavior of kind, nice people. (Please see below the awarded campers). After the ceremony, the campers went to play Sock War, a tribal version of the capture the flag.

Every night before going to bed, we finish the day off by taking a shower, reading a devotional, leading into prayer before the lights go off and start a new adventure ahead of them tomorrow at Merri Mac. We are so grateful for every camper that is here at this wonderful camp in the beautiful mountains that God had created and provided for us. God is so good and has amazing plans ahead of our lives as we are here at Camp Merri Mac!
