INFERNO!
INFERNO!
Mary Page Boyd - July 21st 2024
Today was another exciting day at camp!
We woke up to a chill in the air and fog rolling through the mountains, so we threw on our sweatshirts and hopped out of bed to get our day started. Before heading to breakfast, we worked together to clean our cabins in hopes of winning the highly coveted cabin cake, awarded to the cleanest cabins every week!
The delicious smell of pancakes and sausage led us down the hill, and we wrapped up breakfast by singing some of our favorite songs. Today, “Swimming Hole” was a big hit!
Next, we headed to chapel where we sang together some more and listened to a story from Tweedle Dee counselor, Ansley K., about what sin is.
Then, it was off to activities! It was drizzly this morning, but we didn’t let that stop us! We cooked, did yoga, played pickle ball, enjoyed all of our various lake activities, and more!
We worked up quite the appetite in our activities this morning, so we soon went to lunch where we enjoyed each other’s company while filling up on Italian subs and curly fries. We even had a competition to see who had the longest curly fry! After eating, we sang songs with our tribes and learned that the Golden Eagles won Sock War last night and the Black Bears won spirit points!
After lunch, we took some much needed rest before getting some treats from the trading post! Then, it was off to our afternoon activities, where the sun peeked out for the first time all day!
After our activities were done for the day, we suited up in our tribe jerseys, and found out at dinner that we would be playing Inferno! This was an especially exciting surprise, because we thought the rain would keep us inside for the night!
We got rained on a bit, but it was a fierce and fun competition and we can’t wait to find out who won tomorrow! After Inferno, we headed back to our cabins and spent some time together before falling asleep, excited about what tomorrow will bring.
