It is another lovely day in this Haven! The girls started the day with a camp favorite for breakfast—French toast sticks! During breakfast, everyone learned that our oldest campers, the Sunnysiders, were heading out on their special Sunnyside trip, a tradition where they spend the day together making memories.
They enjoyed a morning of sunrise yoga, and later in the afternoon, they went for a swim in Lake James. Sunnyside will finish their trip off with a fun dinner and ice cream!
We also announced that tonight would be Cabin Night, always a favorite evening at camp! In chapel, Will Troxler taught us about who Jesus is and what it means to know Him.
Throughout the day, campers stayed busy with their activities. In backpacking, they learned how to filter water and properly hang bear bags for backcountry camping. In archery, they played the balloon game, sharpening their accuracy as they aimed for balloons and bullseyes. Over in
cooking, it was Shrek Day, and campers made delicious parfaits with bright green vanilla pudding to match the theme!
To wrap up the day, cabins spent the evening together instead of a tribe game for Cabin Night. Stardust and Rainbow headed to Pippin Hill, where they had a blast trash bag sledding down the hill before ending the night with yummy smores and lots of laughter together.
