A Lively Saturday at Camp!

A Lively Saturday at Camp!
The winners of Inferno was….Red Wolves!
We kicked off another great day at camp today with the bugle waking us up bright and early at 7am. For breakfast we had pancakes and sausage in the dining hall before campers headed out for a full day of fun. Two trips left this morning—one for mountain biking and one for rafting. The girls on the
Mountain Biking trip were: Isabella B., Hanson K., Josephine O., Charley T., Julia T., Eloise W., Sidney M., and Mary Rhodes M.
The rafting trip included: Mattie T., Piper T., Tatum R., Lilah P., Charlotte M., Ella M., Skyler M., Madelyn G., Vivienne H., and Anna Marks R.
We loved hearing about their adventures when they got back!
After breakfast, we had chapel, where we sang together and listened to a short story, then it was time for activities.
In activities, canoeing had seven girls earn their bronze bars today, and they celebrated with a game of canoe basketball. Over in PAWS, campers worked with the puppies on basic commands like sit. Our puppy Tweedle is getting more used to people and becoming more social everyday.
Riflery focused on accuracy, and lots of campers made good progress. In pottery, many girls, especially Tweedles, tried the wheel for the first time and were excited to see their pieces start to take shape. Cooking made waffles, and over in studio fitness, classes worked hard toward their bronze bars as they ran camp loops in the allotted time.
Lunch was a fan favorite: Greek Day! The dining hall was full of pita, hummus, and other delicious options. After rest hour and a quick stop at the Trading Post, campers went to their afternoon activities before dinner.
We had a pasta bake and vegetables for dinner, and then everyone headed out in a hurry for tonight’s evening activity: Counselor Hunt! The goal? Find counselors hiding all over camp and push them in the lake—some of them were rather creative with their spots.
Later tonight, one of the first groups of Solo 13 trips is heading out for the night. We’ll miss them but know they’ll have a great time and some good stories to share at breakfast tomorrow.
That’s it for today. We can’t wait for another awesome day tomorrow!
