Chocolate Cake For Everyone!

Chocolate Cake For Everyone!
Red Wolves won El Presidente and the Most Spirited for the evening!
The sun is setting on Black Mountain and Merri-Mac is full of cheering and chatter as we settle into our camp-wide evening activity, the Great Escape! The girls were so excited during dinner where they were in full Red Wolf, Golden Eagle, and Black Bear tribe gear (face paint, wigs, tutus, all in their tribe colors!).
This morning, the girls finished cabin chores and enjoyed biscuits & gravy, cinnamon oatmeal with berries, and scrambled eggs. They worshiped in the chapel and met with their respective tribes before classes.Today, campers were introduced to their MWF activities for the summer, and began the first lessons. For lunch they had caesar-salad chicken (or vegetarian chicken) wraps and peaches. They napped and played during freetime before heading to their last two activities for the day. Cooking class made chocolate cake with chocolate fudge icing that students and passersby were able to enjoy! For dinner, the girls enjoyed roast beef sandwiches, hot dogs, steamed carrots, and apple pie.
Campers have already gone on backpacking, rafting, and trail running trips. We said goodbye after breakfast to the girls head out on trips.
RAFTERS:
More girls are headed out tomorrow for hiking, climbing, and kayaking. We look forward to updating you on tomorrow’s activities and the winner of the Great Escape!
Signing off,
