What an exciting Saturday for our Second Session campers! We started our day with sausage and eggs for breakfast before heading up to chapel for worship and a message by Andrea. A few of our girls set out backpacking at Copperhead and Rattlesnake Mountains.

Then, campers were sent to their first two activities. In DIY Crafts, girls were carving and inking stamps to make postcards while our chefs in cooking made pizzas on the grill with a customizable toppings bar! Our girls with brothers at Timberlake took a trip to their camp to bond for Sibling Day! They enjoyed lunch together and had time to catch up.

Back at camp, it was Greek day for lunch- a popular pick- and girls enjoyed pita bread, chicken, tzatziki, and more. After rest time and trading post (our own candy shop at camp), third and fourth period began. In climbing, campers learned the figure 8 and fisherman’s knots as our girls in guitar learned how to play ‘Riptide’. Our lucky girls in fourth period Yoga had a blast doing puppy yoga with our PAWS puppies. After activities, campers suited up in their tribe gear and ate potatoes, chicken, and peas for dinner. Our Tribe game for tonight was Counselor Hunt, where campers search the camp ground for our staff members who have meticulously picked hiding spots. Once they find a counselor, the camper gets to push them into the lake, earning points for their tribe! Today was a great day at Merri-Mac, and I’m excited to see what God has in store for tomorrow.
