Knowing God, One Verse—and One Adventure—at a Time
Knowing God, One Verse—and One Adventure—at a Time
The morning started energetic at Merri Mac with build-your-own sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits and then all of the campers marching around the dining hall while singing one of our favorite songs: “Hip-Hooray”. At Chapel we jammed to “Pharoah Pharoah” before listening to Mary Page share a story about assuming a girl was awful before getting to know her and realizing that she was wonderful! She shared how this is like making assumptions about what God is like when we can get to know Him all throughout the Bible, like in Hebrews 1:1-4.
Some of our girls also got to go on trips today!

Finally, the girls in Sundrop took a cabin trip to a nearby swimming hole! Caroline P., Halsey C., Cassidy T., Molly A., Aubrey K., Karlin F., Josephine N., Evelyn M., Ruthie S.
The girls on camp property were having an awesome time too! Elizabeth B. and Haynie E. choreographed performed solos for their bronze bars, Backpacking learned about camping stoves by heating up some hot chocolate, and climbing learned how to use the bouldering wall. In the meantime, Pottery had a glaze day and Tennis played serious of fun games: jailbreak, four square, rollback, and tutti frutti.
Many of our girls also made some great achievements today! To name just a few, Evelyn M. and Caroline S. earned silver bars in fencing, Gray E. earned silver in soccer, and Lucy G. performed a skit in front of the entire camp to secure her gold bar in drama!!
Lunch was popular today with chicken sandwiches and the option of stuffed bell peppers. Red Wolves were hyped to discover that they won Swimfest yesterday but the Golden Eagles snagged Spirit points! On the topic of food, cooking made some banana pudding parfaits that I can confirm were fantastic!
Tonight our girls are thrilled to be spending the evening with their age groups for Division Night: our rising 2nd-5th graders got dressed up for a dance party in the Tucker Inn, rising 6th and 7th is having a carnival on Mackie’s Green, and our senior campers have spent all day squaring up for a game of pirateball between top and bottom bunks!
We can’t wait to make some more memories tomorrow!
