It has been a bittersweet Thursday as we share our final moments with our 3A campers. They have made many memories, created life long friendships and challenged themselves in numerous different activities.

We woke up, did chores, and headed to breakfast as usual this morning. We had a camp favorite this morning, circle breakfast! This consisted of biscuits, sausage, and hash browns. After breakfast, we went to chapel and heard a message from Will about the importance of being obedient to the Lord.

As we close 3A in our activities campers in Backpacking used their new skills to make a fire for some s’mores.

In Doris, the advanced Kayaking class showcased all of the skills they have been perfecting throughout the session.

Campers in Mountain Biking rode around camp and delivered letters to their favorite activities.

For lunch we had another favorite: Greek Day! We had pita, tzatziki and greek chicken to refuel after our exciting morning.

We had a rainy afternoon but that did not stop our fun! Campers enjoyed trading post and hanging out with their friends during free time. Lake activities enjoyed a sprinkle of rain as they dove into Doris, and Yoga mediated to the sounds of the rain in the fourth period. Cooking made fresh doughnuts to help our campers warm up during the chilly rain.

At dinner we had Pizza and Caesar salad, followed by our last time singing our cabin songs together. Campers are sad to leave but we enjoyed this last moment of unity.
Due to a rainy evening, White Feather ceremony occurred in the Tucker Inn. The following girls moved up in ranks tonight by getting marks in activities, electives or commendations:

Tonight, the evening activity is Battle Ball. All three tribes will compete in a dodgeball tournament, and after Sunnyside will go head to head with staff. Today has been full of campers’ favorite activities and meals!

We are sad to see our 3A campers leave but we know you are looking forward to reuniting with your daughters. Thank you for allowing your daughter to grow through new experiences and friendships at Merri-Mac! We can’t wait to see them back next year!
