It was Christmas morning here at Camp Merri-Mac! We got to sleep in an extra hour and woke up to the Christmas truck with hot coco and donuts. We then headed to chapel in our Christmas pj’s to sing Christmas songs and praise God.

Even in this chilly wet weather we were still able to host some trips today!

We then went to the Mike to have Song Fest. Song Fest is where the Black Bears, Golden Eagles, and Red Wolves get to be creative and create a new tribe song and a fun morning song and perform it to the whole camp. We then went to the Tucker In to enjoy some yummy chicken tenders, mash potatoes, and corn. We then races back to our cabins to have an hour long rest hour.

After rest hour we got to spend time with our cabins. We played tetherball, painted each other’s nails, went caroling around camp, and even just hanging out and spending time together. We then enjoyed a delicious cookout filled with hamburgers and hotdogs. We than ran back up to chapel to enjoy Vespers. Vespers is a fun time where we get to sing fun songs and enjoy funny skits that the counselors put on. We wrapped up our day with much laughter and quality time together.

I can’t wait for another day filled with happiness and joy at Camp Merri-Mac.
