Today was a bit colder than a usual day here at Merri-Mac would be, but our campers got out of bed, put their hoodies on, and then headed to breakfast. After breakfast, we went to Chapel and sang Good Father and 1000 Reasons. Momo gave the message at Chapel, and she talked about where she wanted to go to college. Ultimately she decided to go to UGA because that’s what her mom told her would be best for her and she put her trust in her mother’s word. She answers the question Who is God? Momo said that we need to put our trust in the Lord in our daily lives and know he is always there to guide us through our decisions.

Today was full of excitement even in the rain! Starting the day right with coffee cake (my favorite)! Then, in cooking we made Christmas pasta. Campers make a marinara sauce and a pesto basil sauce then can choose which one they prefer. For lunch, we had Taco in a bag, which is also another fan favorite. In climbing today they worked on the traverse wall. For this wall, campers go left to right on the climbing wall with another camper behind them following their every step to catch them if they fall (a counselor is on the side too) then the campers switch halfway through. After all of our activities, we headed to Tucker Inn for dinner and had Chicken Alfredo with broccoli.

Since it was a little wet and rainy outside our evening activity was Tribal Trivia! Red Wolves, Black Bears, and Golden Eagles get into separate areas in the Tucker Inn and divide into 10 tables. Each table answers the questions that are presented to them, then they turn them in! This is always a fun game to play to keep spirits high when the weather is damp.

Another day at Merri-Mac is always full of excitement and fun trips!
