A Very Merri-Mac Monday!
A Very Merri-Mac Monday!
Happy first full day of second session, Merri-Mac!
The first full day means the first Chapel, where we answered the question, “Who is God?”. Mary Page talked about John 3:16 and how God wants us to get to know Him, and that He sent Jesus to do just that!
The first breakfast was French toast and sausage, lunch was turkey, avocado, and bacon sandwiches with sweet potato fries, and dinner was ham and Mac and cheese: three very popular camp meals!
Today our campers went to their first activities and first trips!
Some girls went rafting! These girls are:
Camile A.
Jane B.
Joan C.
Julietee C.
Addison D.
Lizzie D.
Charlotte D.
Katherine W.
Stella W.
Tegan M.
Madi M.
Arisa V.
Others went on a hike through the activity Trips Hiking!
Molley A.
Caroline B.
Ella C.
Reena K.
Sarah L.
Lucia S.
Cassidy W.
Back at camp, Cooking made French toast sticks, Volleyball learned how to set and serve, and Pottery made pinch pots!
Tonight, for evening activity, our campers are playing Gold Rush! Items painted in gold (or, to our campers, true 24k gold) are scattered all around camp. Campers must find and bring them safely to their tribe’s bucket—where they will be weighed, and the tribe with the heaviest bucket wins. But there is a catch! If a stinger (a staff member) tags them, they have to convince the judges with a story explaining why they need the gold!
It was an amazing first full day of 2F, and we can’t wait to see what tomorrow has in store!
