It’s a Merri day, Merri-Mac!

Today was another lovely day at camp! We started our morning by waking up, cleaning our cabins, and enjoying pancakes and sausage for breakfast. After breakfast we headed to Chapel, where Mary Page spoke about how we all sin, but God still loves us anyway. We read Romans 3:23-24 and learned that through God’s grace, we are forgiven.

Girls who have brothers at Camp Timberlake had the opportunity to visit them for a few hours today! They spent the afternoon swimming in Lake Newcomb, enjoying a picnic lunch, and catching each other up on all the fun they’ve been having at camp. These lucky ladies are:

Meanwhile, back at Merri-Mac, we enjoyed ham and cheese croissants paired with pretzel bites for lunch. During lunch, we also found out that the Golden Eagles won last night’s Sock War! Go Eagles!

The Backpacking classes enjoyed a special treat today! While learning how to set up camp stoves, they made delicious hot chocolate.

There were also several exciting accomplishments around camp today! During Kayaking, Lucy M. learned her roll and is now river-ready! Candler L. showed mastery in Dance by performing two solos and a group dance today. The almost-birthday girl, Alice W., earned her Bronze Bar in Fitness! In PAWS, the puppies began learning their names, and in Cheerleading, campers practiced their toe touches. For dinner, we enjoyed a delicious plate of chicken alfredo!

Tonight, the girls have the opportunity to showcase their talents during our Fine Arts Night Performance! This special event gives campers the chance to share their acting skills, dance moves, artwork, musical talents, and more with the entire camp.

What a fun-filled day at Camp Merri-Mac! We’re especially excited to sleep in an extra hour tomorrow because it’s Sunday!
