Happy Monday and first full day of camp!

Today started with a little rain but that did not keep us from having a great day at camp! After Reveille went off at seven everyone got ready and did their cabin chores, we then headed to breakfast where we enjoyed delicious French toast and sausage to fuel us for the day ahead.

In chapel this morning, we explored the question, “Who is God?” We read John 3:16, reminding us of God’s incredible love for us.

The morning activities were full of safety talks and fun! In Cooking, campers baked homemade oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. In Watercolor, we painted bookmarks.  Lawn Games and Field Sports spent the morning playing an exciting game of kickball.

Lunch was one of camp’s biggest favorites: Tacos in a Bag!

After lunch, the excitement continued as campers searched all around camp for the Hatchet. The Golden Eagles found it meaning that they are the predicted ones to win the Banner!

For dinner, we had Barbecue Chicken and M&M cookies!

Tonight, the whole camp is gearing up for El Presidente, one of our favorite evening games! Campers will play a giant game of hide-and-seek using socks, making for an evening full of singing, strategy, and plenty of running around camp.

After El Presidente, campers will head back to their cabins for showers, Devo, and a well deserved night of sleep to get ready for another fun day of camp tomorrow!
