Merry Christmas!
Today was a merry day at Merri-mac!! It began an hour later than usual, allowing the girls to sleep in until eight and be awoken to a truck full of donuts, yogurts, fruits, and hot chocolate (as well as directors dressed in Christmas cheer)! Will Troxler famously appeared as Santa Clause. Next, in chapel Will shared from Mark 1:10-11 and taught us that although man falls short, we are God’s beloved with whom He is well pleased!
At lunch we got blessed with chicken tenders and rolls! We got to hear counselors sing Christmas songs with some encouragement from their campers! We enjoyed a longer rest hour to be surprised with a slip-n-slide during trade po. Watercolor enjoyed sitting outside this afternoon and girls in riding worked on steering. Lake Dorris was full and active with PAWS, swimming, tennis, canoeing, kayaking, and junior lifeguarding!
The evening activity was The Amazing Race, where girls relay in various skills for their tribe! Girls run tribe jerseys all around camp competing in archery, canoeing, or even singing happy birthday, and so much more. It ended with the chiefs from each tribe slip-n-sliding onto Mackey’s! After the great race, Blue Heaven enjoyed milkshakes with devotion in the cooking kitchen! Overall, it was a merry day for Merri-Mac!
