Today was an amazing day at Merri Mac! We started off our morning with cabin clean-up and an awesome breakfast of baked oatmeal and blueberry muffins. We then headed to chapel, where Layla told us a story from her CIT backpacking trip. She taught us that God’s love for us is like a sturdy tree that is worth searching for, while reading Proverbs 3:5–6. After chapel, we started our fun activities. In PAWS, girls got into groups and taught each puppy different tricks. In Cooking, girls made some delicious mango mousse. Then we went to lunch and ate pizza! We found out at lunch that tomorrow is CHRISTMAS!!!

The Black Bears (best tribe) won the Battle to Middle Earth last night, and the Red Wolves won spirit points! After rest time, campers sprinted to the front of the Trading Post line and enjoyed an afternoon treat. Sunnyside and Tweedle Dee cooled off in the lake during free swim! Lots of fun trips went out today!

Campers returned to their third and fourth activities, where girls in kayaking practiced their T-rescues and wet exits. In climbing, girls worked on their skills on the traverse wall. Josie W. earned her Gold in Diving, and Ellaree H. earned her Gold in Canoeing! Girls came to dinner dressed in their red, green, and pajamas because it’s Christmas Eve! Counselors collected campers’ stockings to be filled with treats for the morning. Tonight, we ate tacos for dinner and churros for dessert. Later, counselors will go caroling around to the cabins to spread Christmas cheer! Today was a joyful day at camp, and we cannot wait for Christmas tomorrow!
