Happy Saturday, everyone!

In chapel today, Maren D., a counselor in The Robin, told us a story from her childhood and tied it into who Jesus is and what he does for us. Maren included the verse John 14:6, which is printed above the stage in the chapel. As it is printed here, campers look at it every morning and are reminded that Jesus is the “way, the truth, and the life”.

In our activities, we worked towards bars in guitar, riflery, pickleball, and tennis; we worked on T-Rescues in canoeing and kayaking; we continued projects in embroidery, knitting, and pottery; and in climbing, we embarked on new paths that take us to the top of the tower! In cooking today, we made delicious slushies that cooled us off! Sylvie L. was recognized at lunch as the only person to achieve a gold bar in guitar all summer!

Today we had sibling day at our brother camp, Timberlake, where Merri-Mac sisters reunited with their brothers and enjoyed their time together with free swim and trading post.

For lunch at camp today, we had ham and cheese croissants with a side of pretzel bites, which are very popular! Our campers couldn’t go to rest hour without finding out who won the close game of Inferno last night, which turned out to be the Black Bears! The Golden Eagles hung in there by winning spirit points.

During free time today, Wicked practice was held in the drama room while tribes practiced their song fest songs in the Mike in preparation for the mystery of what day song fest will land on.

After afternoon activities, we dressed up in our tribal gear to get ready to play The Battle of Middle Earth, where tribes compete to gain control over certain stations such as basketball, archery, and miniature games of a camp favorite: El Presidente.

Cabins like Tweedle Dee ended the night with a fun cabin activity where some of the best camp memories are made! Tweedle Dee snuck into Trading Post for a little extra sugar while Cloud Nine and Big Dipper slid down the slip ‘n slide!

After a busy week, campers are looking forward to Sunday because that means we get an extra hour of sleep and a restful day away from our day-to-day activities!
