Happy Sunday Merri-Mac!
Today was another beautiful day in this haven! Campers started the day off with our beloved Sunday tradition of having some delicious cinnamon rolls! Then, campers headed to Chapel where Lavender’s Blue reenacted the story of Jesus healing Jairus’s daughter using The Jesus Storybook Bible. After chapel, campers celebrated Merri-Mac songfest where Red Wolves, Black Bears, and Golden Eagles performed two songs each. Campers clapped, danced, and sang to the judging panel. The afternoon featured an hour-long rest hour, giving everyone a chance to relax and recharge after all the morning’s excitement.
After some delicious trading post treats, campers headed to the lake to watch the first ever Merri-Mac Bellyflop contest. The lucky winners were Sloane S. and Reagan (CIT).
As evening rolled around, we headed outside for a Western-themed cookout, complete with hot dogs, hamburgers, and the famous red velvet cookie. We closed out the night with Vespers, featuring well-loved skits like “The Big House is on Fire.”
Tonight, Sunnyside, Cloud 9, and Big Dipper celebrated a Mamma Mia-themed prom! The girls got dressed up, danced, and ate ice cream!
What a gift it is to spend our days surrounded by laughter, tradition, and the Merri-Mac spirit — we can’t wait to see what next Sunday brings!
