SUPER MARIO!!!

SUPER MARIO!!!
It’s another lovely morning here at Camp Merri-Mac and we woke up bright and early at 7 A.M to get our day started. We headed to the dinning hall and ate delicious french toast sticks and sausage patties for breakfast.
The girls then headed to chapel to sign All in All and Jesus Paid It All. We then got to hear a lovely story from Cora about talking to God. She read from Romans 6:23, where it says “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord”.
After chapel we headed to our activities before lunch. At lunch we had chicken tenders and curly fries. Maddie Lemmon then announced the winner of Inferno was… Black Bears and Black Bears also won spirit points. She also announced that tonight’s evening activity is Super Mario.
Super Mario is a new game here at camp this summer and it involves campers running around trying to find the red mushroom, the blue mushroom, the green shell and the invincibility star. Once they get all four colors painted on their arms, they then have to go find their Princess Peach. Counselors are all around camp as stingers and they can take away some of your powers. Campers can also pull each other’s flags and make you have to respond.
After lunch the girls headed to rest hour and they have the chance to take a nap, write letters and do some summer reading. The girls then raced to tray-po to get some yummy treats. We then headed to our last two activities for the day. We painted pottery pieces and played a game of volleyball.
For dinner we had hawaiian meatballs and pasta. We then sang We Were, which is when you stand up for cabins you have been in, in years past. We then met in a tribe meeting before Super Mario and a lot of tribe spirit was sung. The game then started and the girls got to running to find their Princess Peach.
We then ended the night in some cabin bonding. Where the girls got to talk about chapel and laughing together to end the night.
The long day at camp came to an end and the girls went to bed to get ready for the next day at camp.
