It was another beautiful Sunday at Merri Mac. Campers woke up an hour later and headed down to breakfast in their cabins themed for Olympics. This morning we got cinnamon rolls! After breakfast we headed to the chapel where Mary Paige read a story about Joseph and the multicolored coat. Then after chapel, girls lined up for the torch runner to start off the Olympics opening ceremony. Each cabin had a theme such as Jiggity “Jaws” (Jiggity Jog), Barbie (Jiggity Jig), The Who’s (Big Dipper), and Slumber Party just to name a few. After the opening ceremony, girls lined up for the triathlon, where girls swam, biked around camp, and then ran Little Hawk- a mile run- to end with all of camp cheering at the very end. We are so proud of these girls for accomplishing such a hard and tremendous course! ( Please see the winners below) After the triathlon, girls headed down to lunch! 

Today for lunch we got to enjoy chicken wraps with chips and salsa and orange slices. After lunch, girls get to enjoy an hour of rest hour and then the Olympics started! Today’s activities for olympics included archery, swimming, diving, pickleball, and gaga ball. This gives girls an opportunity to show off activities that they thrive in and want to show the rest of the camp their truly impressive skills. We celebrated the winners as they stood on the podium when they received their medals. After the Olympics, girls headed to dinner which looks a little bit different on Sundays! For tonight’s dinner, camp got to enjoy cookout which is made by CITs. The girls got hamburgers, pasta salad, watermelon, chips, and s’more cookies- YUM!! While the girls are eating and enjoying the company of everyone, counselors got set up for vespers which is where they perform skits. Vespers involves songs such as Sparks Fly, Accidentally in Love, Wagon Wheel, and Isaiah 43. After Vespers, girls headed to their cabins to spend time with each other and get ready for bed so they can be ready for activities to start again on Monday!
