We woke up bright and early at 7am to start our final full day at camp of First Session. For breakfast we had blueberry muffins, baked oatmeal, and apples in the dining hall before heading out for a full day of fun (and rain!). A rafting trip went out this morning which included: ChaCha J., Mary Bishop J., Ella B., Margaret C., Margot C., Olivia G., Adeline G., Anne F., Ireland A., Alexis A., Julia A., and Virginia B.

After breakfast, we had Sunnyside Chapel, a sentimental lakeside chapel led by our oldest campers, then it was time for activities!

During activities, cooking made delicious pigs in a blanket and mac n’ cheese. Campers in cheerleading created routines to share with the class and climbing worked hard on the traverse wall and learned new knots. Finally, all lake classes had free swim where campers had the choice to blob, kayak, go off the diving boards, or just swim!

Lunch was a fan favorite: Taco in a Bag! Afterwards, cabin cakes were awarded to the cleanest cabins of the week. Next we headed to a rest hour and free time full of packing before campers headed down to get Tray-Po. Third and fourth activities followed shortly after and then, finally, dinner!

We had a pasta bake and vegetables for dinner before everyone headed up to the teepee for our Final Campfire ceremony. At Final Campfire, girls are awarded for both their character and hard work as recognized by their counselors and peers. We are so proud of all of the girls, for the bars, promotions, and commendations they earned.

After Final Campfire, we headed to Lakeside to sing songs and remember all of the things we love and will miss about camp as many of our girls prepare to leave tomorrow. As another great session at camp comes to a close, we thank God for this amazing place and the opportunities and friendships we have been blessed with.
