Hello Parents!

It’s the first day of activities! Our Merri-Mac day started with our girls being woken by the morning reveille. We finished off our chores and then headed to breakfast feasting on eggs, sausage, and potatoes. The Tucker Inn buzzed as the girls received their activities for this session. Some girls headed out on trips for fun adventures in nature with friends and God.

After breakfast we headed to Chapel where we sang together, listened to a true story from Mary-Paige and ended in prayer. The girls then headed off for tribe meetings and to prepare for the day of activities that awaited them. Today all of the activities start off with introductions for our new campers as well as learning what fun has been planned for each activity! Backpacking had a backpacking relay race, cooking made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, and DIY started their designs for stamps they will carve later this week. After a busy morning we headed off to the Tucker Inn for lunch which was stromboli, caesar salad, and pineapple. The fun of the last activities continued after some much needed rest time, and free time.

Later we settled in for dinner which was sweet thai chicken, brown rice, stir-fry vegetables, and egg rolls. Then the girls headed out for the evening activity Gold Rush!! The goal? Find all the gold around camp you can to gain points for your tribe. All the girls will be sleeping well tonight thinking about the next fun weeks that still await them.
