It’s a Merri day, Merri-Mac!

Today was a wonderful day of activities and fun! We started with a breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, seasoned diced potatoes, and coffee cake (a classic if you ask us!). Lunch was chicken Caesar spinach wraps with potato wedges, and for dinner we had pulled pork in brioche buns with corn casserole and baked beans! Tasty!

Today was, according to the Sunnyside girls, Will Troxler Wednesday – a day celebrating none other than the man himself! A rather fitting theme, if you ask us! Maybe Mary-Page Troxler Monday is next?

We also have an announcement – Bet Bet T. for earning her GOLD BAR in basketball! Through hard work, dedication, and passion, she’s earned her spot on the Merri-Mac team! We are endlessly proud of her for her achievement!

Some of the girls went on trips today – hiking, mountain biking, or canoeing! It was a bit of a cloudy day, but a little fog never stopped us from having a good time!

Finally, the biggest part of our day: the Princess Party! A MASSIVE congratulations to our Merri-Mac princess, Anna E.! She put on a marvelous show for the camp tonight along with princesses of each cabin! We watched a fun, Moana-themed skit, celebrated Anna E. and the joy she brings to camp, and then went for some dessert at the chapel! A stunning end to a stunning day! Cabins vote for one cabin princess to represent them in the skit!

We can’t wait for everyone to hear about the memories made at camp during session 1-A. In just a couple of days, we’ll be saying goodbye to our beloved campers! It’s hard to believe how quickly the time has gone by, but we’re sure we’ll see you next year… and for the next Princess Party!
