Good morning Merri-Mac! Starting off strong with breakfast, we had blueberry muffins and baked oatmeal with fruit! A camp favorite. Then we headed to Chapel. Today’s topic was connecting embroidery. The message was that the front of the embroidery is pretty but the back is messy like us. We are messy and sinful but God always loves us.
After Chapel, everyone headed to their tribe meetings. In archery, the girls worked on precision with the arrow. In climbing, they worked on their traverse wall skills. In soccer, people worked on clean passing. Some girls in pickleball were working on their bronze and silver bars! Over at the lake, the kayaking girls were practicing their t-rescues and rolls!
For lunch, we had chicken sandwiches with fruit and french fries. After lunch was a nice peaceful rest time and then straight after every single girl ran over to Tray-Po for some treats! Lawson K., Katherine R., Emerson R., Sadie P., Kiera M., Brigid H., Macy S., Sophie B., Georgia N., Jessie G., Gigi G., and Bailey M. had an awesome time at Lake James on their canoe trip! Claire N., Avery G., Maddie L., Austin T., Kate M., and AG S. went on a mountain biking trip today as well. Jordan K., Alice M., Lyla M., Reagan M., Tess T., Clementine F., Nellie C., Gray E., Lucy F., and Liza S went on an awesome day hike trip while Elizabeth W., Mary Ellen H., Emily S., Edythe L., Morgan H., and Virginia M went on a trail running trip!
For dinner, everyone had amazing ravioli pasta with fruit ending with some ice cream for dessert. For the evening activity, it is Fine Arts Night! A girl could be singing, dancing, acting, etc. Some cabins are doing a whole routine together! Before taps, Little Dipper cabin is making milkshakes in the Tucker Inn! Right before every cabin goes to bed, they do devotion and talk about what they learned in chapel, then they get a great night’s sleep! Today was amazing with laughter and cheer and tomorrow will be even better!
