Our first day of session 1B!! For breakfast, we ate french toast and sausage. It tasted fantastic! Then, this morning in Chapel, we read through Psalm 19:7-8 and Mary Page talked about how God has rules that He wishes us to follow. His rules aren’t a punishment; they’re for our good. They help us grow in love with Him. And when we inevitably break His rules, He still loves us. What great news!

In all activities, a safety talk was given. Some activities began to work on teaching bars, and others played games. In Backpacking, they went through the 7 Leave No Trace hand signals, and they practiced packing a backpack. In arts and crafts they made art out of perler beads.
A rafting trip left right after breakfast and they took:
Reagan W
Mila V
Elizabeth T
Adelaide K
Carlisle K
Emerson L
Kate M
Caroline M
Elizabeth S
Hill L
Campbell L
Ava M
They all arrived back to camp in time for fourth period and had a blast!
A morning hike left right after breakfast and they took:
Sarah B
Sloan D
Lillie Kate D
Elizabeth K
Smith M
Tess M
Louise O
They got back right before lunch and had a great time!
For lunch, the campers had walking tacos!! A camp Merri-Mac favorite. After rest time, the girls ran to Trading Post and had fun in the sun. For dinner, we ate BBQ chicken, rolls, broccoli and carrots, and potatoes. It was so delicious!! We also got M&M cookies for dessert!
Tonight’s evening activity was Mission Impossible!!! In this game, the girls compete around camp, doing different activities (volleyball, soccer, swimming, canoeing, etc.) and the goal is for one tribe to win each activity. When the tribal leader thinks that their tribe has successfully won all of the activities, they run for the flag to see if they’ve won.
After evening activity, the girls returned to their cabins for Tattoo and Taps. The Rainbow cabin in specific (rising sixth grade girls) got to put the puppies to bed!
Today was filled with joy and excitement and we can’t wait for another day at camp Merri-Mac!
