Today was another great day at camp Merri-Mac! We woke up this morning and had another amazing breakfast of  biscuits, eggs and gravy. We then went to chapel, where Will told a story about how he is always wanting to look out for Annie Mac and related it to John 3:16 to help us understand “Who is God” and how immense His love is for us.  We then began all of our awesome activity periods. Those who went canoeing learned the T-grip song and how to paddle. In archery we learned how to shoot a bow and arrow, some for the first time!  We then came down to turf time, where laying in the sun is always a hit. Lunch was the famous taco in a bag, and it’s safe to say it’s famous for a reason. Black Bears won Gold Rush (go Black Bears!) and Golden Eagles were awarded spirit points from last night’s Gold Rush. After a peaceful rest time, everyone sprinted down to Trade Po in an effort to be first in line. Drinking red gatorade through sour punch straws was definitely the way to go. We went back to activities where drama played the bus stop game.  Kayaking learned how to wet exit and Emma B. learned her roll. We also had so many fun trips today:

Dinner was another great one, we had BBQ chicken, potatoes, veggies, and rolls, with snickerdoodles as dessert. Our evening activity was Battle to Middle Earth, which consists of a bunch of different games around camp (such as archery, sock war, and trivia) where the goal is to win and get as many points as possible. There is also a hidden inner tube hidden around camp, and everyone is trying to find it and not get tagged by the stingers (counselors). After the battle, Comet and Milky Way had smores and devotion  around the fire. It was such an amazing day at Camp. We can’t wait for another one tomorrow!!
